    Project: New brand website for The Grand Designs Live is based on the hugely successful Channel 4 TV series, presented by design guru Kevin McCloud. The event has established itself as the UK’s number one consumer show for design and innovation for the home.

    The show was launched in 2005 and has been hailed ‘the UK’s most successful exhibition launch in the last decade’, so my challenge was to keep the brand identity but also create an engaging new style website.

  • In order the user be able to search information, pick tickets, take advantage of promotional campaigns, be updated with news and schedule changes on the event day,... it was esencial to base the design in a easy access for the user from all parts of this website. To achieve this I created an entire flow skeleton for the entire website, based on horizontal scrolling with fixed menu, ensuring the user would never get lost and creating a pleasant and satisfying experience.

  • The brand colours play a fundamental role in creating brand recognition. The Grand Design Live palette is made from a diversified color scheme with bright colours to represent the event spaces. The always present black or pink colour is the solid glue that holds everything together.
